Why should you fast?
Long story short - it's free, simple and effective. It's also a more natural way to regain your health, and when done properly, it is shown to be superior to calorie counting for fat loss.
We're in the middle of a global pandemic and our health is now more important than ever. We know that people who are overweight and obese experience more adverse outcomes from COVID, relative to those who are a healthy weight.
Some aspects of the pandemic (like working from home) also present an opportunity to regain control other key aspects of our health, such as when and what we eat, and making sure we get more sleep. Sleep plays an important role in fasting - but more on this in the Playbook 2.0!
What is fasting?
The best way to explain what fasting is, is to start by telling you what it is not... and it is not a starvation method! Strategically condensing your eating windows has been shown to improve biomarkers (blood pressure, blood glucose levels, etc.) health and muscle mass and decrease body fat irrespective of the calories consumed during that eating window.
Fat- and weight-loss is more than just how much you eat.
Who is this guide for?

I stumbled upon fasting in 2013 while completing my Nutritional Advisor qualifications, and the science and simplicity behind it struck a very strong cord with me.
For years I had been following the advice in Health and Fitness magazines (i.e., 6 meals a day and eating within 20mins of working out) which I did not enjoy (it never felt right to eat when I wasn't hungry). I also didn't see the results my clients and I now see using fasting as a fat-loss and health-optimisation tool.
I started fasting to improve my aesthetics, but what I found was an incredible and simple tool that improved my body composition, digestion, overall health, mental clarity and energy levels.
