How many times have you promised to start tomorrow? When it comes to initiating change, tomorrow is a fool’s paradise as tomorrow is a black hole of good intentions. Monday’s are the same. We’ve all promised to start on Monday, and then failed to follow to through. Starting anything on a Monday is a bad decision as it’s the first day back to the “grind” following a weekend of downtime and playtime. “The best preparation for tomorrow is doing your best today.” - H. Jackson Brown, Jr. The best possible time to start anything is today, now to be more precise. Striking whilst the (motivation) iron is hot, is the key to driving and initiating change. Once we’re bitten by the bug, it’s best to go with it. “Tomorrow is only found in the calendar of fools.” - Og Mandino Waiting until the motivation and desire has worn off, is why so many dreams and ambitions never get off the ground. When you get an idea, write it down and start it there and then. And if you REALLY can’t start it now, put a time and date on your start date (ideally not a Monday ;) and stick to it like you would any scheduled meeting. Tomorrow is undefined and planning so will only lead to failure. Is it time for you to start adopting the power of now? I’d love to know what you think, please leave a comment below!
